Choosing a Stroller in India: Kerbs, Boots and Real Streets
BabyProduct Team · 7 Aug 2026
Wheels for the roads you use
Small hard wheels struggle on uneven pavements. Larger wheels with some suspension handle Indian streets far better, at the cost of weight.
The fold test
Fold and unfold it in the shop, one-handed if you can. Then measure your car boot before you buy — this is the most common regret.
Recline and sun protection
Newborns need a near-flat recline. A deep, extendable canopy is worth more here than most add-ons.
Weight and storage
A lighter frame is easier on stairs and lifts. A usable basket underneath saves you carrying bags on the handles, which can tip the stroller.
