The Only Newborn Essentials Checklist You Need (2026 Edition)

Sleep & comfort

• 5–7 cotton onesies (front-open — trust us at 3 AM)
• 2 swaddle wraps in breathable muslin

Feeding

• 8–10 burp cloths (you can never have too many)

• A simple changing mat beats a full changing table

What to skip

Bottle warmers, wipe warmers, shoes, and 90% of the toys. Your baby mostly wants you.
